Key Accomplishments To Date:



  • Created $150,000 endowed at University of Pennsylvania to support support Penn's student leaders in mental health (matched by UPenn)

  • Raised over 6-figures through donations, including $80k in the first six months

  • Held seven walks (5x NYC, CT, and LI) to raise funds for the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention (AFSP)

  • Raised $7,683 towards the University of Pennsylvania's I CARE Training (within the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)) on behalf of the Stephanie Becker Fund, which aims to build a caring community that has the skills and resources to intervene in student stress, distress, and crisis.

  • Launched "Mental Health in the Workplace" event series in partnership with Docz and other co-sponsoring organizations

  • Unveiled Westhill High School tennis court backboard constructed and dedicated in memory of Stephanie Becker

  • Raised over $15,000 from Julie Becker and Stephanie's friends who ran the 2013 NYC Half Marathon in Stephanie Becker's memory

  • Co-sponsored 200+ person event at the University of Pennsylvania with actress Brittany Snow, MTV, and the Jed Foundation. Brittany shared her personal story and discussed her Love is Louder campaign. Event dedicated in memory of Stephanie Becker

  • Launched and successfully completed semester-long project for a fully accredited undergraduate class at Goizueta Business School, Emory University (Spring 2013)

  • Appointed first member to the Stephanie Becker Fund Medical Adivsory Board: Dr. Andrew Slaby

  • Launched website, Facebook page, and Twitter page with a reach of over 60,000 unique visitors in the first six months

Note: The Stephanie Becker Fund was formed by Michael Becker in October 2012 and is operated by Michael Becker and Julie Becker in memory of their loving older sister, Stephanie Becker. 

The Stephanie Becker Fund is managed by JCF, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

  • Plan 1st Annual Stephanie Becker Fund Gala

  • Feature Stephanie and the Stephanie Becker Fund in IBM's Mental Health Initiatives

  • 10/23/2016 | AFSP's Out of the Darkness Community Walk to help raise awareness and prevent suicide in Battery Park City, NYC; raised funds towards the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention

  • 9/8/16 | Mental Health in the Workplace at the Microsoft Store on Fifth Avenue in NYC. Michael Becker spoke on behalf of the Stephanie Becker Fund on an expert panel regarding mental health in the workplace among Ashley Womble (Fountain House), Jess Levenson Mirsky (Mondo), and Josh Rivedal (Docz). Event co-hosted by the Stephanie Becker Fund.

  • 2/8/13 | Shabbat dinner and video tribute in memory of Stephanie Becker held in Toronto

  • 1/13 | Launched a partnership with Goizueta Business School, Emory University (Spring 2013 semester). Wrote the curriculum for an intensive, semester-long project for a fully accredited undergraduate class -- led by Dr. Susan Hogan -- dedicated to the Stephanie Becker Fund's Mission

  • 12/16/12 | AFSP's Out of the Darkness Community Walk to help raise awareness and prevent suicide at Hilton Huntington in Long Island, NY; raised $4,586 towards the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention
